HOME::About PDT

Pediatric Developmental Therapy (PDT) was founded with a mission focused on providing quality speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy to children.  As part of our mission, the therapists work to give parents the tools and strategies they need to help their children develop and carry over therapy principles to the home.  Each child is treated as an individual and the therapy is designed to best meet each child’s needs.  PDT therapists are educated in a variety of areas and specialties so we are uniquely positioned to make sure children are given the therapy they need to reach their full potential.

Pediatric Developmental Therapy was established in 1997 by Haden Boliek.  Her initial focus was providing speech therapy for children in Cumberland, Hoke and Moore Counties.  With a lot of hard work and a passion for helping children and families, PDT has grown  into a multi-disciplinary practice engaged with each of our young clients.  Each therapist at PDT provides their own unique gifts and abilities for helping children.  The practice has grown and developed because of the hard work  of so many people and their therapeutic contributions to the children in our area.

PDT has a wonderful group of therapists with varying disciplines that work in Cumberland, Hoke, Moore, Rockingham, Richmond, Scotland, and Harnett Counties.  PDT went on to open two additional clinics located in Southern Pines and West Fayetteville.  In addition to providing therapy to children in the clinics, PDT therapists also provide services for children in homes and daycares through our relationship with the Fayetteville CDSA and the Sandhills CDSA.  We provide speech / language and physical therapy to the Hoke Co. Schools and occupational and speech therapy to Longleaf Academy.  Additionally, PDT works with Sandhills Children’s Centers in Southern Pines and Rockingham and The Children’s Developmental Center in Raeford.  We also proudly serve the Dorothy Spainhour Center in Fayetteville.

Christmas Child ProjectSeveral years ago, Haden Boliek, owner of Pediatric Developmental Therapy decided that instead of an employee Christmas party, the practice would do something to give back to the communities we serve. And so, the Christmas Child Project was born.  FIND OUT MORE!
