5 Reasons You Need to Change Your Plan of Care – Asking for Help
Therapeutic Breaks in the Therapy Session
There are times in all of our careers as therapists when we need more help and times when we need less help. Asking for help allows us to put ourselves in a place to learn and allows others to instruct. If your patient is not making the progress needed, then the fifth reason may be that you need to ask for some help.
What do you do when you have a goal to work on with a child, but you’re just not sure how to approach it? What do you do if you are having a difficult time engaging your patient? What do you do if you are not meeting all your goals during your therapy session? There’s a solution that can answer each of these questions: ASK FOR HELP!
It’s so much better to ask for help when you don’t know how to do something or need a fresh mind to undertake a challenging situation. Don’t waste time trying to tackle it on your own or pretend that you know the answer. Neither of these will be beneficial to your therapy session and the improvement of your patient. Do not be afraid to ask for help— we all need it at one point or another in our lives and there are many professionals available in your workplace to assist you!
